Historical background
Nazareth was a small Jewish settlement in the first century and later became an important Christian pilgrimage centre. Modern Nazareth contains churches, archaeological remains, traditional markets and neighbourhoods built across the Galilean hills.
What you will see
Depending on the itinerary, visitors may see the Old City, Basilica of the Annunciation, traditional sites connected with Joseph and Mary, and the broader setting of Jesus' hometown.
